By accessing or using this website, submitting a manuscript, acting as a reviewer, or otherwise engaging with the journal’s editorial and publishing services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Please read these Terms carefully before using the website or submitting any materials. If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using this website or submitting content to JHED.
2. Eligibility
JHED welcomes original scientific manuscripts from researchers, academics, professionals, industry experts, and students whose work falls within the journal’s scope.
By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that they have the authority to submit the work, that all listed authors have approved the submission, and that the manuscript complies with accepted standards of scientific integrity and publication ethics.
3. Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted in accordance with the Author Guidelines available on the JHED website.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts comply with the journal’s formatting requirements, ethical standards, and submission policies.
Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee its acceptance for publication. Authors will receive confirmation upon successful submission, and all manuscripts will proceed through the journal’s editorial and peer-review process.
4. Editorial Process
Initial Assessment: Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial evaluation to determine whether it falls within the journal’s scope and meets the basic requirements for scientific quality and formatting.
Peer Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are submitted for peer review in accordance with the journal’s editorial policy. The review process is intended to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of submitted work.
Editorial Decision: Based on reviewers’ recommendations and the Editors’ evaluation, a manuscript may be accepted, accepted subject to revisions, returned for major revisions, or rejected. The Editors reserve the right to make the final publication decision.
5. Publication
Accepted manuscripts will be published in the Journal of Hygienic Engineering and Design (JHED) following successful completion of the editorial, peer-review, and production processes.
The editorial team reserves the right to make minor editorial, grammatical, stylistic, and formatting changes that improve clarity and consistency without altering the scientific meaning of the manuscript.
Publication schedules are determined solely by the Editorial Office.
6. Author Responsibilities
Originality: Authors must submit only original work that has not been previously published and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal, unless explicitly disclosed and permitted by the Editors.
Authorship: All listed authors must have made a significant scientific contribution to the manuscript and must approve the final submitted version.
Ethical Compliance: Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with all applicable ethical standards, including obtaining any necessary approvals for studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data.
Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could influence the research or its interpretation.
